Working together

How long do I work with you?

Timescales can vary – this work may take just a few sessions, or a little longer. We work out the pace and duration of your process together as we go, reviewing regularly to make sure we are on track.

How long do sessions last?

Sessions will usually be for 50 minutes, and generally we will agree on a regular time and day each week.

How much do sessions cost?

My current fee is £90 per hour for individual therapy and for supervision in Banbury and £110 in London

I have some lower cost spaces; however, please note that you may have to wait to access them.

What about missed sessions?

When we agree a space together, we commit to a sequence on a weekly basis and I hold the space and time for you and the fee is charged. If you are not able to make a particular week for any reason and can let me know in advance, I may be able to offer you an alternative day or time either in person or by zoom. If a new time cannot be found to suit us both, we may arrange for a ‘therapeutic email exchange’ in lieu of our session.

Is the work confidential?

I have a ‘therapy agreement’ and ‘privacy statement’ for discussion at the first session which address issues such as confidentiality, my breaks, data protection, my record-keeping etc. This helps us both be clear about the basis of our work together.

I work to the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Ethical Framework for Good Practice. This promotes safe and professional counselling practices.
